Today we are installing our Gator back front mud flap kit on a 2018 Ford Expedition these flaps are a great way to protect improve the overall look of your truck and better yet the Gator back flaps are incredibly durable and easy to install remember this video is to be used as a companion to the included installation instructions…
let’s get started start by removing just enough of the protective frisket from the mud flap to allow room to install the bracket using the outer holes of the bracket loosely install the bracket to the mud flap using two stainless steel carriage bolts two stainless washers two stainless lock washers and two stainless nuts next identify and remove the factory screw and push pins located on the inner fender then pull out a portion of the fabric liner so it rests on the outside of the fender this will act as a protective barrier to the mud flap lift up the fabric liner to expose the two bottom holes that contain the plastic pushpins carefully install a u clip onto each hole next finish removing the protective frisket from the flap and move it into place to be installed tightly install the bracket to the inner factory bolts as shown using two serrated flange nuts we recommend pushing the flap and bracket as far back as possible to provide the best clearance then with two provided machine screws and two stainless steel washers loosely install the lower two holes of the mud flap into the previously installed tooth clips reinstall the upper factory screw and insert a nylon washer between the flap and the body as shown next with a square make sure that the mudflap is level carefully tighten all screws including the inner bracket machine carriage bolts and double check that the mud flap is still level congratulations you’ve just finished installing your data back mud flap kit if you found this video helpful give us a like and subscribe check out the rest of our Channel and our website for additional tips tricks and installation guides thanks for choosing truck hardware

We are installing our Gator back rear mud flap kit on a two thousand eighteen Ford Expedition these claps are a great way to protect and improve the overall look of your truck and better yet the Gator back flaps are incredibly durable and easy to install remember this video is to be used as a companion to the included installation instructions.
let’s get started identify and remove the factory pushpins and factory screw located on the inner fender pull back the fabric liner to reveal two factory bolts as shown back out the factory bolts but do not remove them at this time you should now be able to feel the bolts through the fabric liner next using a knife or box cutter cut an X in the fabric liner over each pull then proceed to remove the two factory bolts lift up the fabric liner to expose the factory holes that contain to the plastic push pins carefully install three u clips into the holes that correspond with the mud flap check the positioning of the mud flap or use the print instructions for extra guidance into the remaining holes reinstall the plastic pushpins and factory screw now with the liner back in place use a drill and a quarter inch bit to drill and clean up the two X holes made earlier in the fabric liner test fit by reinstalling the factory bolts through the liner bolt the mud flap into place and using some type of marker make a mark about a quarter inch above the mud flap then with the provided durab install it from the mark made down the edge of the vehicle as shown this protects the paint and body from the mud flap remove the protective frisket from the flap and loosely install the flap using three sheetmetal screws three stainless steel washer screws and three rubber spacers note place the rubber spacer between the flap and liner as shown next mostly install the inner factory bolts nope there are two sets of upper holes on the inner mud flap due to differences from vehicle to vehicle now that you have cut fold in the liner use the whole set that best matches next with a square make sure that the mudflap is level carefully tighten all screws and double check that the mud flap is still level with a quarter inch drill bit drill through the inner lower flap bill and liner securely install the liner to the flap using a stainless steel cap screw stainless steel washer stainless steel lock washer and stainless nut congratulations you’ve just finished installing your Gator back mud flap kit if you found this video helpful give us a like and subscribe check out the rest of our Channel and our website for additional tips tricks and installation guides thanks for choosing truck hardware
